| The Richard Langhorn Trust was founded in 1994 in memory of Harlequins player Richard Langhorn who tragically died that year having served his club for over ten years as well as being selected for England A’s.
Richard had a keen love for sports and so, in his memory, the mission of the Trust is to provide sporting opportunities for young people regardless of their age, gender, race, ability or background.
Since its creation, the Trust has given financial help and encouraged hundreds of children across the world. From coaching rugby and providing a home for poverty stricken children in Calcutta to funding wheelchair basket ball in the UK; the Richard Langhorn Trust has bought smiles to many young peoples faces.
Helping to raise funds are Trustee Peter Winterbottom and Patrons Jason Leonard, Lawrence Dallaglio and Will Carling. With their help we hope to build on the success of the past ten years and give youngsters even more opportunities to participate in, and enjoy, a variety of sport. |
