The Meridian Trust specialises in providing qualified sailors and social workers to help, encourage and develop children from underprivileged and very disadvantaged backgrounds.

Sailing trips can last up to a week and promote the qualities of trust and reliance. As well as the experience of sailing, The Meridian Trust also offer the opportunity for youngsters to gain recognized qualifications in either mechanics, shipwright or sailing.  For many children the Meridian Trust is their first experience of living within a close family atmosphere.

The Richard Langhorn Trust has to date funded two sailing boats; The Richard Langhorn and the Richard Langhorn Adventurer.
